The Hunt Must Go On

From the rising of the sun in the east,

to the setting in the west,

the hunt must go on.

Each day is closer still,

 to the next hunters kill.

The hunt must go on.

For man and woman alike,

there is the thrill of the next strike.

The hunt must go on.

Each changing season

has hunters out for a good reason.

The hunt must go on.

From the depths of forest pine trees,

to the heights of Blue Mountain trails.

The hunt must go on.

Even as Summer passes,

hunting dogs leave their training classes.

The hunt must go on.

Hunters managing the land.

Planning all the while where to put the tree stand.

The hunt must go on.

Moving on toward fall,

September brings out the bow and all.

The hunt must go on.

So many wild life to choose from.

Each group beckoning hunters to come.

The hunt must go on.

Hunting squirrels in late fall,

tones the hunters skills for Springs turkey call.

The hunt must go on.

Fall's deer season springs into action.

The hunter's boots are geared for traction.

The hunt must go on.

Winters voice comes from the geese's call.

The hunter and his dogs are ready for the haul.

The hunt must go on.

A quiet moment to prepare for springs hunt,

to bag the big Tom and not a runt.

The hunt must go on.

Teaching young Lads how to hunt.

Keeping a heritage of God in the hunt.

The hunt must go on.

And last but not least,

came year round shapes and colors of camouflage fatigues.

The hunt must go on.
