About the Artist:
Dee Sturgis was raised in Montana. Her mother took note of her
artistic talent and bought her first set of pastels at the age of
nine. From the first “How to Draw Dogs” book to the present time;
the biblical principle of study to show yourself approved has been
applied.
Being a self – taught artist, over the past
35 years she has developed her skills in portraiture, landscaping
and much more. Her style is realism with a flavor of
impressionism. She works with a variety of mediums, pastels being
her first love. Her works include illustrating children’s books
to memory paintings on all kinds of surfaces. Creating art is a
delight to express in giving glory to God.
